Stock Inventory is available as
an add-on module to ProfVet Pets.
In
order to active the Stock Inventory module you
will need a diskette from us.
Once Stock Inventory has been activated, some
additional fields in the Sales, Sales Article
and Supplier forms will become visible. In Sales
the field "Bar Code" will become visible/active,
and this is where to put the cursor prior to
scanning the bar code on the article with the
reader.
In Sales Articles a number of new fields will
emerge, among them "Stock Inventory", "Stock
Limit", "Quantity To Order", "Supplier" and "Bar
Code Supplier".
In the Supplier form it will be possible to
register which bar codes are delivered by any
supplier and which articles have been ordered/delivered.
Stock Inventory adds the folllowing to ProfVet
Pets:
-
Monitoring of stock:
-
One may at any time get
an overview of the number of articles
stored and be told to order more of an
article when the number drops below a
certain minimum. By pushing the "Adjust
inventory" button in Sales Articles one
may enter minimum stocks and stock
inventory, and these will change as
articles are being sold and new ones
arrive. The button "Stock Inventory"
displays a list of registered articles,
and inventory.
-
Ordering articles from a
supplier:
-
One is reminded whenever
the inventory drops below the minimum.
By using the "Order" button in Sales
Articles one may order selected articles
for which a supplier has been
registered. A press on the button "Create
order" makes the system produce an order
for all articles that have dropped below
the mininum stock amount specified. The
number of articles ordered can be
overruled manually, and so can the order
date. Thereafter one only needs to
press "Print order", and they will all
be printed out.
-
Adjusting stock inventory
-
Delivery of articles can
be registered in a separate form, with
their number and date. It is still
preferable to use the "Adjust inventory"
button in Sales Articles. In the
adjustment form one may increase (most
common) or reduce (shrinkage) the
inventory. When ordered articles are
delivered, one is queried as to whether
one is registering a special order. If
doubt arises as to the real amounts in
stock, one may recalculate all movements
by pressing the button "Recalculate".
